As I wait for my fight in Hong Kong I discovered free wi-fi and decided to update you on my progress home.

The anticipation of my trip home kept me awake so I only got a few hours of sleep before my 5:30am taxi to the airport.

The trip to the airport was the smoothest I've ever had.  Apparently even Bangkok traffic is good at 5:30am.  I got the the airport just before 6:00am and got in the line up at check-in.

The last time I was in Thailand it took me and hour and a half to get through check-in and immigration before sprinting to the gate.  This time the line ups were just as long but it was handled much more efficiently getting me through in just over half an hour.

I leisurely made my way to the gate checking out various duty free shops but nothing looked interesting.

The flight was a little late taking off and landed in Hong Kong 15 minutes behind schedule which was OK with me as my wait for the second and last leg of my journey was now 15 minutes shorter.

After clearing the security check, which more resembled herding cattle to the stunning line, I grabbed a coffee and after discovering free wi-fi access I decided to catch up on my email and write this update.

It's just started raining here and I have to head off to begin boarding.  I hope the rain doesn't delay our departure.
